Recruitment is stressful, frustrating and time consuming at the best of times, however hiring staff for a family/personal environment can be even more so. We are here to guide you through this process; our ultimate goal is help both families and candidates find the perfect match.

Most of our placements are successful, however for peace of mind, we offer an eight week guarantee period, whereby we will either provide a replacement or a refund. We are also happy to arrange to meet with clients should that be required.

We recruit permanent and temporary, live-in and daily nannies, mother’s helps, maternity nurses, babysitters and housekeepers/ gardeners/ couples. Our applicants will be vetted in accordance with the Criminal Records Bureau standard and meet all UK related legislation. It is free to register, a fee only becomes payable on placement. Once a family are registered with us, we will forward suitable CVs for consideration and then interviews will be arranged. We can provide a template for a contract of employment which can be tailored to your own specification.

Poppins Agency will:

• Listen carefully to your requirements in order to work out what kind of person would be suitable.
• Offer advice and guidance on pay, conditions and expectations.
• Once registered, we will send through a selection of CVs of candidates who have been interviewed and vetted.
• Support prior to interviewing candidates and post interview, we can offer guidance on what to look for in a nanny and on how to structure the interviews.
• We will determine who is capable of undertaking your position, leaving you to work out which person you click with as a family.
• We can offer guidance on the current guidance/legislation on employing a nanny.
• Supply sample contract of employment for you to tailor to your own needs.
• We work with a reliable established payroll service.
